In the final semester of the grant program, four faculty members were awarded grants to introduce Adobe CC tools in their courses. A total of 17 grants have been awarded over the course of 4 semesters.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>This semester&#8217;s grant recipients<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Dr. John Boyles<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Assistant Professor of New Testament, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acu.edu\/academics\/college-of-biblical-studies\/departments\/bible-missions-ministry\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Department of Bible, Missions and Ministry <\/span><\/a>&#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students in Boyles\u2019 Biblical Interpretations class will produce Bible class promotional videos using Adobe Premiere Pro.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Robert Green<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Director of the Fine Arts Program and Professor of Art, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acu.edu\/academics\/college-of-arts-and-sciences\/departments\/art-design\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Department of Art and Design<\/span><\/a> &#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students in Green\u2019s Two-Dimensional Design class used Adobe Illustrator to develop a grid design of a black shape or shapes on a white background that offers the appearance of movement or change in a sequential progression and achieves a figure\/ground reversal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Monique Marquardt<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Assistant College Professor and Director of Corporate Engagement, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acu.edu\/academics\/college-of-arts-and-sciences\/departments\/engineering-physics\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Department of Engineering and Physics<\/span><\/a> &#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Marquardt\u2019s junior clinic students, in partnership with the City of Abilene\u2019s Safety City, will design new cars for the program\u2019s safety program and create posters that showcase their designs using Adobe Illustrator.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Dr. Rick Piersall<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Department Chair, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acu.edu\/academics\/college-of-arts-and-sciences\/departments\/music\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Department of Music<\/span><\/a> &#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students in Piersall\u2019s opera workshop will use Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, and Photoshop to produce a digital version of this year\u2019s opera performance.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn more about the Adobe Faculty Fellows program <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adobe\/faculty\/adobe-faculty-fellows\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Adobe Faculty Fellows program supports participating faculty with grants to alter existing assignments or create new assignments that require the use of Adobe Creative Cloud applications like Illustrator, XD, InDesign, Premiere Pro or Premiere Rush to foster creativity across the curriculum.
