\"\" <\/span>On September 6th, the <\/span>Innovation Foundry<\/span><\/a> and the Brown Library hosted Creative U, a celebration of creativity and the creative process. Creative U was born out of ACU\u2019s commitment to fostering digital literacy and digital skills through its partnership with <\/span>Adobe<\/span><\/a>. Creativity is more than having artistic abilities. It is the way in which problems are solved.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Innovation Foundry and Brown Library partnered with the <\/span>Siburt Institute for Church Ministry<\/span><\/a>, the <\/span>Adams Center<\/span><\/a>, and the <\/span>Office of Spiritual Formation<\/span><\/a> to bring <\/span>Chris Field (\u201806)<\/b>, founder of <\/span>Mercy Project<\/span><\/a>, to campus to inspire students, faculty, and staff to use their creativity to bring about lasting change in the world. Field\u2019s latest book, <\/span>A Billion Hours of Good: Changing the World 14 Minutes at a Time<\/span><\/i> (<\/span>Leafwood Publisher<\/span><\/a>s<\/span><\/a>), invites the reader to join a movement to make the world a better place 14 minutes at a time. Field first spoke to students in the <\/span>Teague Center<\/span><\/a> for <\/span>Chapel<\/span><\/a>. After chapel, he spoke to faculty in the Adams Center about the ways his relationships with faculty and staff shaped and formed him to succeed throughout his life and ministry. The day\u2019s activities concluded with <\/span>a keynote session<\/span><\/a> where Chris focused on the importance of creativity in solving old problems in new ways.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
