This Reading Commons will be full of new and recommended books and periodicals, new shelving, comfortable seating and tables with good lighting. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are excited to announce that the library has already begun supporting special literary events in this space! Last October, on Halloween, in partnership with the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acu.edu\/undergraduate\/academics\/arts-and-sciences\/language-and-literature.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Department of Language and Literature<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, we hosted Cover2Cover \u2013 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0a marathon-style reading of\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mary Shelley&#8217;s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Frankenstein<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Join us in the Reading Commons from noon &#8211; 1 p.m. as Dr. Todd Womble, assistant professor of Language and Literature, reads \u201cA Good Man is Hard to Find\u201d by Flannery O\u2019Connor and Dr. Bill Carroll, associate professor, reads \u201cThe One Who Walks Away from Omelas\u201d by Ursula K.
