J. Bulls (\u201804)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, of Lewisville, Texas, to a summer research fellowship in <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/specialcollections\/#.WvsWCNMvxGM\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Special Collections<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Mr. Bulls, editor of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Timeless Psalter Hymnal<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, is a composer, choral director, and worship leader in Churches of Christ. His doctoral research at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary will bring him to the Library this summer for about three weeks to study its hymnal collection. He is especially interested in whether and how hymnals published for Churches of Christ refer to the Trinity and the Holy Spirit. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The recipients of the Library\u2019s 2018 Summer Teaching Fellows program are \u00a0<\/span><b>Dr. Neal Coates<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Professor of Political Science, and <\/span><b>Dr. Christopher Hutson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Associate Professor of Bible and Associate Dean of Academics in the College of Biblical Studies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr. Coates will develop curriculum for individualized Political Science courses for &#8220;selected students who would be trained for work in the primary sources found in the public service holdings.&#8221; The Library holds the personal papers of a number of ACU-related public servants, such as Texas Supreme Court Justice Jack Pope, U.S. Congressman Omar Burleson, Texas Congressman Bob Hunter, and others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr. Hutson will develop a module on African-American Churches of Christ for his Restoration History course. He commented, &#8220;My philosophy of teaching history is that students are more engaged learners and understand history better when they work directly with primary <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sources.&#8221; Of particular interest are letters from African-American evangelist Marshall Keeble held in the B. C. Goodpasture papers. Some of these letters are on currently on display in the Lucado exhibit case in the Library&#8217;s Learning Commons in memory of Keeble, who died April 20 fifty years ago. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Congratulations to D.
