{"id":235,"date":"2012-07-24T00:01:50","date_gmt":"2012-07-24T05:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/oxb00a\/?page_id=235"},"modified":"2018-09-21T01:20:57","modified_gmt":"2018-09-21T06:20:57","slug":"human-resource-management","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/oxb00a\/human-resource-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Collaborations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I include this research area because it is of particular interest in promoting the development of\u00a0collaborations in international settings.\u00a0 Since the initiation of the Global IT Leadership program in 2009, I have worked with a graduate student from China to develop the core for a relationship management system that can be used to moderate cultural influences in business practice.<\/p>\n<p>I also work with colleagues in a leadership team with members from Canada, India, France, Norway, Copenhagen, New Zealand and the US, in\u00a0supporting a doctoral scholarship program for students conducting research in MSR and supporting the Research Consortium for New Faculty and Students conducting research in management and spirituality.<\/p>\n<p>I continue developing research with colleagues from India, Manila and Korea, to extend our research on spirituality and submit papers to international conferences.<\/p>\n<p>I also work with researchers in Australia and the US to improve the level of research submitted for publication in MSR conferences and journals.<\/p>\n<p>Please see this partial list of US and international co-researchers and their affiliations:<\/p>\n<p><em>Timothy Ewest<\/em>, Houston Baptist University, Houston, Texas, and\u00a0Princeton University,Princeton, New Jersey. Worked with him to successfully publish in the Special Issue on Innovative Research methods for MSR.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Major, Exemplarity, Professor of Strategy and Transformation, Institut de Gestion Sociale, Paris, France. Worked on the MSR leadership team to build an international AOM membership.\u00a0 As a result, MSR is one of the most diverse DIG (division\/interest groups) in the Academy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Peter McGhee<\/em>, Auckland University of Technology, Auckland,\u00a0New Zealand.\u00a0Worked with him to successfully publish in the Special Issue on Innovative Research methods for MSR.<\/p>\n<p><em>Kent Miller<\/em>, The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management,\u00a0Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan.\u00a0Worked with him as a reviewer and to successfully publish in the Special Issue on Innovative Research methods for MSR.<\/p>\n<p><em>Kathryn Pavlovich<\/em>, Waikato Management School, Waikato University, Hamilton, New Zealand. Worked with her on the leadership track for MSR.\u00a0 Kathryn is also the senior editor of JMSR who invited me to be an associate editor for the journal.<\/p>\n<p><em>Joseph Petrosko<\/em>, College of Education and Human Development,\u00a0University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky.\u00a0Worked with him to successfully publish in the Special Issue on Innovative Research methods for MSR.<\/p>\n<p><em>Kanti Mohan Saini<\/em>, Management and Organizations, NL Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research &#8212; Mumbai, India.\u00a0 I have mentored Kanti since the 2012 AOM meeting.\u00a0 Kanti has been a co-author for several past submissions and for two papers currently scheduled for publication in 2019.\u00a0 Kanti assists as a reviewer for the MSR dissertation proposal award program of which I am chair.<\/p>\n<p><em>Leire San-Jose, <\/em>Universidad del Pa\u00eds Vasco UPV\/EHU, Bilbao,\u00a0Spain.\u00a0Worked with her to successfully publish in the Special Issue on Innovative Research methods for MSR. Leire was a bit apprehensive about presenting at the AOM 2018 conference, but I encouraged her to do so; she did an exceptional job in her presentation, and was excited to continue her research.<\/p>\n<p><em>Charles Tackney<\/em>, Handelshojskolen Institut for Tvarkulturel Kommunikation og Ledelse, Frederiksberg,\u00a0Denmark. Invited Charlie to submit to the AOM conference in 2013.
