They ensure that students in programs throughout the institution have equivalent opportunities, offer ways for students to meet university requirements, and provide processes for faculty to carry out academic functions. Students are responsible for familiarizing themselves with applicable policies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Academic policies govern areas such as academic integrity, definitions of terms and classifications, course enrollment and load, grading, academic standing, attendance, scheduling, and transfer guidelines. Academic policies are published in the catalog or Faculty Policies and Procedures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The provost recommends changes to academic policy, and the Provost\u2019s Cabinet is the body that can approve changes.
