{"id":252,"date":"2021-07-13T15:36:24","date_gmt":"2021-07-13T20:36:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/provost\/?p=252"},"modified":"2021-07-30T13:37:00","modified_gmt":"2021-07-30T18:37:00","slug":"4-8-midterm-grades","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/provost\/4-8-midterm-grades\/","title":{"rendered":"4.8 Midterm Grades"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Responsible Body:\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Office of the Provost<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Date of Last Review:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 June 25, 2021<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Midterm grades are required for all undergraduate students for residential fall and spring semester courses unless class dates make them inappropriate (for example, a class that has already been completed, or a class that has not yet met).\u00a0 Midterm grades are to be posted during the seventh week of the long semester unless otherwise indicated by the university calendar.\u00a0 Midterm grades provide the student with an indication of progress in courses through the sixth week of the semester but are not posted to\u00a0 the student\u2019s transcript. Faculty members are to enter a grade of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>S<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (satisfactory progress),\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>U<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (unsatisfactory progress; a student is not performing equal to his or her potential), and<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>NP<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (not\u00a0 passing).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Regular grades of A, B, C, D or F are not to be entered at this time.
