Senior Health Expo and Town Hall Meeting coming to Abilene Convention Center February 20th

8:00 am – Free coffee and donuts

8:00 am – 4:00 pm Vendors with a wide array of products and services will be ready to visit with you. Some vendors will be providing basic health screening at no cost.

9:00 am – Entertainment – Texas Tornadoes line dance performance
9:00 am – Workshops in rooms 201/2 & 203/4:
    –Area Agency on Aging/Social Security Administration: “New to Medicare, Where Do I Start”
    –Oceans: “Depression in Seniors”

10:15 am – Workshops in rooms 201/2 & 203/4:
     –Wisteria Place: “How to Juggle Medicare with Medicaid and Assistance with Levels of Care”

At the Town Hall Meeting we will discuss issues of importance to the older population. Information gathered here will be used by the Texas Silver-Haired Legislature to develop Resolutions to present to the Texas Legislature. Students from Abilene Christian University will serve as moderators and recorders.
