I had the opportunity to interview my friend Iriel Greenhaw who is a Hospice Volunteer for Careers in Aging Week! She loves her job and has missed the people she works with dearly as she has been sidelined during efforts to reduce the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

What do you do as a Hospice Volunteer?<\/h2>\n

I do what ever they need me to do! It could be grocery shopping, cleaning or cooking but most of the time i just sit and talk with them. The older population love to reminisce and honestly, I love to listen to them!!<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

What is your favorite part of working with older adults?<\/h2>\n

I absolutely love listening to stories of their lives. We have so much we could learn from them if we listened more.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
