The U.S. Flag was established in a June 14, 1777, through resolution from the Second Continental Congress. This <a href=\"https:\/\/publications.usa.gov\/epublications\/ourflag\/history1.htm\">resolution<\/a> called for a national flag and established its design.&nbsp; By<a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/2017\/06\/12\/flag-day-what-is-it-and-why-do-celebrate-it.html\"> 1877, unofficial celebrations <\/a>honoring the U.S. Flag occurred.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legion.org\/flag\/code\">Flag Code<\/a> declared no other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the U.S. flag, except for state flags.
