Every Sunday morning, members of the community of Abilene, Texas arrive at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Families, young adults, and college students alike spill through the doors looking for a place to worship and find community. Pictured is a greeter at Pioneer Drive, Kim Mize, who holds the door open every Sunday morning for those entering the church building. He always offers a kind smile and engages many who walk through the doors in conversation. Kim is just one of the many older adults who are greeters for the church, serving the congregation through something as simple as holding a door open.<\/span><\/p>\n
