Dear Tenure and Promotion committee,<\/p>\nDear Tenure and Promotion committee,<\/p>\n
I humbly and respectfully submit this portfolio for tenure, having satisfied the requirements for tenure in the College of Business Administration (COBA) at Abilene Christian University (ACU). I also submit evidence that I have satisfied the requirements for promotion to associate professor and, by submitting this documentation, apply for promotion to that rank.<\/p>\n
One of the main reasons I decided to become an educator in higher education is because I love to learn. I believed that becoming a professor would allow me to embark on a journey of continual learning. Indeed, I have learned a great deal about myself both professionally and personally. Therefore, while I hope this portfolio demonstrates my notable contributions in the areas of teaching, research, service, and collegiality, just as significant, if not more so, I hope it reflects how much I have learned and developed along the way.<\/p>\n
To facilitate the review of my portfolio, I created a table summarizing the tenure and promotion requirements for the university and for the College of Business Administration as well as how I have met those requirements. Please click here to view this table<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n In terms of navigating this portfolio, you may move through the material in a suggested linear fashion by following the links at the bottom of each page, or you may use the menus at the beginning of each of the major sections. Within the four general criteria areas of teaching, research, service, and collegiality, I included personal reflections and self-evaluations. \u00a0I also included a category for my CV and Supporting Materials, the latter of which contains letters of support and annual reviews.<\/p>\n This reflection exercise has helped me to realize how grateful I am to be an educator and has given me a renewed sense of purpose that God called me to this professional role at this time and place. It also allowed me to appreciate how I would like to continue to develop as an educator, scholar, and colleague.
