In support of Southern\r\nHills' 2012 congregational emphasis, Outside The Walls, that centered on\r\nencouraging people to consider ways in which they might be Jesus to people\r\nin the Abilene community, Steven determined to support a Wednesday night\r\nhands-on learning experience we called Barefoot Church. Steven went about\r\nthis task with passion and focus. Steven participated alongside me, and a\r\nlarger facilitation team, in the development of a syllabus for Barefoot Church.\r\nAdditionally, Steven had responsibility for serving as the lead facilitator for one of\r\nour Barefoot Church that involved a prayer walk through the community around\r\nAbilene\u2019s Civic Center.\r\n\r\nOnce he had been provided his assignment by the larger Barefoot Church\r\nfacilitation team, Steven thoughtfully assessed various possibilities and brought\r\nforward a well-crafted plan that we incorporated into the syllabus. Each step in\r\nhis process was thoroughly and thoughtfully carried out.\r\n\r\nI consider it to have been both a privilege and blessing to have had the\r\nopportunity to supervise Steven's field education experience.
