{"id":3589,"date":"2020-08-21T16:48:03","date_gmt":"2020-08-21T21:48:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/specialcollections\/?p=3589"},"modified":"2020-10-14T09:19:06","modified_gmt":"2020-10-14T14:19:06","slug":"save-the-date-restoration-day-september-7-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/specialcollections\/2020\/08\/21\/save-the-date-restoration-day-september-7-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Save the Date: Restoration Day September 7, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Abilene Christian University and its Center for Restoration Studies will host Restoration Day 2020 on September 7 to mark the anniversary of Thomas Campbell\u2019s <em>Declaration and Address<\/em> and highlight the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement&#8217;s historic emphasis on unity in the Body of Christ.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s Restoration Day activities will be held virtually and will center upon one of the most important figures in the movement\u2019s history, Alexander Campbell. Dr. Douglas A. Foster, professor emeritus of church history at ACU and one of the foremost scholars of the Restoration Movement, recently completed the first ever critical biography of Alexander Campbell entitled <em>A Life of Alexander Campbell<\/em>.
