\nGoal: \u00a0better connect the enrollment office and better connect students to ACU<\/span>
\nRole: \u00a0Work in athletics, umbrellaed under the enrollment office<\/span>
\nMake sure the ACU recruiting process is positive for potential student athletes; social media<\/span>
\nConnecting athletics with potential walk on status, or steer students towards other options<\/span>
\n1200 apps that originated from athletic interests<\/span>
\nFootball brings in the most students, signed 42 walk ons and 21 scholarships<\/span>
\n180 new athletes this past year<\/span>
\nBest way Senate can serve you: \u00a0if you know student athletes in high school, get those names to Grant<\/span><\/p>\n
\nStudent run, requires student leadership<\/span>
\nTeams play other NCAA teams, but not actually affiliated with NCAA<\/span>
\nLast year was the first year club sports was affiliated with athletics<\/span>
\nGreat tool for pointing students to that are not able to play varsity sports<\/span><\/p>\n
\nGrant: \u00a0I usually educate them, encourage recruit to get on campus, and identify academic status\/ability. \u00a0Most of the staff can identify pretty quickly what \u00a0recruits would be a good fit.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
\nRecognize accomplishments of staff<\/span>
\nRobin Saylor – ACU magazine – can we spotlight staff? \u00a0Digital format may make staff features more likely<\/span><\/p>\n
\nMaybe Dr. Schubert has lunch with featured staff members?<\/span>
\nSurvey – What do you like about ACU? What can ACU do to make this a better place for you? – Foster gratitude and ideas for leadership <\/span>
\nStaff mentors for new employees<\/span>
\nLooking for ways to partner with other organizations on campus, help to get word out<\/span>
\nACU Special days for Administrative Coordinators, Directors, etc.<\/span>
\nCraig: \u00a0Next issue of ACU Today – Campus Spotlights, feature staff<\/span>
\nMore staff than faculty – we need to highlight them<\/span>
\nShannon: \u00a0Committee would be interested in feedback and ideas, how can we retain good people<\/span>
\nJill: \u00a0FDLIC – great job appreciating staff, think out of the box, great retention, great place to work., innovative<\/span>
\nSteve: \u00a0When will the John C. Stevens park be dedicated?<\/span>
\nCraig: JCS – veteran\u2019s day chapel, Dr. Stevens will be discussed, story featured, following chapel, sign will be unveiled, donors will speak, Dr. McCaleb will be a part of that<\/span><\/p>\n

\nCraig: \u00a0we will work that into the script<\/span><\/p>\n
\nLast revision in 2011<\/span>
\nMake changes available to staff by linking to the document in the HR Newsletter.<\/span>
\nGoogle doc with committee guidelines – does it exist? \u00a0By-law committee will create a google drive doc with the by-laws, guideline documents, there would be a template for the first meeting.<\/span>
\nCurtis: \u00a0What is the process of submitting discussion topics regarding the by-laws before the by-laws?<\/span>
\nEric: \u00a0Revisions would be submitted, it would come back before the senate.<\/span>
\nScott: \u00a0do the term limits apply for alternate Senators?<\/span>
\nAubree: \u00a0Need volunteers for the Homecoming Carnival<\/span>
