\nC. Committee Updates
\n Dave Beard – Service Committee
\n\tTown Hall Meetings were positive, maybe can build on that. We can help rechange the mood, turn toward positive.
\n2. \tBenefits committee – bereavement time, comes from sick leave, currently bereavement time is only for family – some departments hold to that, some do not. Would really like to see us pursue increasing flexibility for use of those days to attend funerals of non-family members. Benefits for ACU retirees? Currently they get a discount at the SRWC
\n3. \tSick to service – could 3 days be expanded to a full week?
\nD. Nominations and Elections
\n Tina Chisholm – Stephanie put a lot of work into organizing and documenting protocols. Grant has been to the last few meetings and is
\nService Committee – D\u2019angelo Sands – what is the best way to serve? Recruiting more people to serve on this committee.
\nCommunications Committee –
\nBerlin Fang – More powerful tools for storing and sharing information in Canvas. He can help us with that.
\nE. Outsourcing Efforts
\nLandscaping, mail services are staying in house, WFF is renewing their contract
\nLandscaping will be reduced by 10%, laid off two employees.
\nIT decision has not been publicly announced.
\nChartwells is about to come to campus.<\/p>\n
VII. Announcements
\n Commencement – please help! Some online students will be here to graduate – many have never been to Abilene before.
\nThank you to senators completing their terms.

VIII. D\u2019Angelo Sands – Next year
\nThank you to Chris and retiring senators.
\nSurvey sent out to new senators regarding meeting times – First Mondays at 9
\nWant to create an opportunity to meet with SLT and Dr. Schubert once a semester.
\nConference Room in Bible Building is reserved for next year.
\nName plates will be used in meetings.
\nCommittees – if you served on a committee, would you consider being a chair to establish a contact person for that committee.
\nDr.. Schubert and SLT should be available for Town Halls.
\nBe thinking of other staff members that would be interested in volunteering on committees.<\/p>\n
