The Undergraduate Research Mentors of the Year are nominated by their students. The Mentors of the Year are then selected from the nominees by SPUR. An award was given to one faculty member each from the Arts & Humanities, the Social Sciences, and STEM. The inaugural year for this award was 2013 where the awards were given at the Undergraduate Research Festival.
