Abstract guidelines for research in humanities, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics:<\/b><\/p>\n

In order to help reviewers evaluate abstracts across disciplines, these sections will appear as separate questions in the URCI Abstract Submission Portal. Because many disciplines compose abstracts as a unified narrative (or other format), you will given the optional opportunity to submit your abstract in the format that is specific to your field\/discipline at the end of the submission in addition (not replacement) to the required questions.<\/p>\n

  1. Clearly state the central research question and\/or purpose of the project.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Provide relevant scholarly or research context that demonstrate how your research contributes something new to your field of study (50\u2013200 words).<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Provide a description of the research methods (50\u2013200 words).<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Provide a description of your specific contributions to the research apart from collaborators, mentors, and past contributors to this project (25\u2013100 words).<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. State conclusions or expected results and the context in which they will be discussed (25\u2013100 words).<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Optional: a URL may be provided for optional supplementary documents.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Optional: list references that inform your research.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Prior to submission, be prepared with basic information about you and other members of the project.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Prior to submission, be prepared to verify any <\/span>research approvals necessary (IRB, IACUC, etc).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
