Johnny Cash Band Poster

After doing a little research about woodcutting, I came across this really detailed woodcut poster of Johnny Cash. I believe it was created by Yee-Haw Industries, a design firm that we’ve heard about before. I really like this woodcut and think it would be a fun thing to try in class, especially with the group of us.

Here is a link to their Etsy site, where you can buy some of their prints: Yee-Haw

Hey Nil, I found this website and they make how-to infographics with illustrations, but they are large screen prints. They look really awesome so check them out here!

Products of Design

Create designs as you like and apply them to any product: poster prints, t-shirts, packages, notebooks, etc. You can use any visual style for this assignment, however, keep in mind you can include this project in your graphic design portfolio, or you could display it in the senior show.

The printing technique may vary for each of you (screen-printing, linocut, etc.). Keep the design simple to make, limiting the number of colors to a minimum.
