Alex Wann (’10) had the opportunity of a lifetime, spending a week in Nicaragua drilling a well for clean drinking water.

As a renewable resources graduate student at the University of Wyoming, he received the Willard and Elaine Rhoads Scholarship for Graduate Studies in Water Resources. This lead him to volunteer with Living Water International (LWI).

Wann spent July 9-16 in Nicaragua on the water well drilling rig. He and other volunteers found potable water at about 105 feet. This water will serve about 50 families in Lino Arugello, Nicaragua via a hand-pumped well.
