As a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), ACU planned its first annual Sustainability Day.
“This presented a good opportunity to bring focus on what we already do as a campus community and what we need to do to gain momentum for a greener campus,” said Mary Caton, assistant to ACU’s Chief Financial Officer.
The Expo took place in the Campus Center on October 26. Those involved were The Sierra Club, Wildcats for Sustainability, Locavore Club, Purchasing, The Students’ Association and The Bean featured “sustainability games.”
“There was a lot of activity around the stations,” said Caton. “There are a lot of students passionate about sustainability.”
