Teacher Evaluations

Selected Student Comments

  • He was really engaged in the class and was excited about the material he was teaching which made the class enjoyable. (Spring 2013)
  • Field trips emphasized the coursework learned in the classroom. You are enthusiastic about the course material and though this is the first time this course was taught, I think it was effective. (Spring 2013)
  • The combination of reading the text, reviewing and expanding on important material in lecture, and then seeing things first hand on trips has been a great learning experience. (Spring 2013)
  • I could tell the professor cared about the class and the students. (Spring 2013)
  • The site visits were helpful and I like the field reports. The lectures were very detailed, which was quite helpful, but perhaps (and this is just a suggestions) they could be broken up by exercises during class, which would help students to stay focused and would give an opportunity for them to practice what they have just learned in class. (Spring 2013)
  • Sometimes it seemed like the exercises and readings combined were too time-consuming for out-of-class work.  More balance would be appreciated in the future. (Spring 2013)
