Every year for the past nine years, our department has taken a trip to the Medina Children’s Home to serve the Children’s Home and the kids that live there. The trip began when house parents from Medina invited us to come and do different service projects such as cleaning vacant cottages, working livestock, gathering pecans, painting, mowing and organizing food pantries and clothing donations.

This year the A&E Department made the trip to Medina on the weekend of October 11th with thirty-three students and two faculty members. Throughout the weekend they mowed and weedeated lawns, cleaned out brush, picked up trash, made homecoming mums and organized donated clothing. The students and faculty also spent time playing catch, basketball and volleyball with the kids.

The trip is always a tremendous blessing to the Medina Children’s Home and all who participate have a great time serving and getting to know each other better.
