What is life like under the Regime? An excellent article, which doesn’t just explain water mismanagement but how people try to interact and petition the government on any topic–and then get brutally punished. “Iran’s water is running dry. Now its water woes are worsening,” Sahab Bahar, Atlantic Council, IranSource, December 13, 2021.
Yes, this blog is about Iran, and how its government/leaders refuse to act as “normal” in international relations and with regard to its own people. Along the way I sometimes comment on countries or media or other entities who empower Iran or who don’t hold them to account. Or misreport or mis-state. Here is one such article by the NYT, which uses the term “bombers” twice about Israel, communicating some sort of offensive urge or power that Israel doesn’t have—it only has fighter jets, it does not have bombers. And the NYT knows this, but on purpose uses the term to paint Israel as an aggressor, not acting in self-defense. See “Israel Finds Planes That Could Be Key to a Strike on Iran Badly Back-Ordered,” David Sanger, Ronen Bergman, and Helene Cooper, New York Times, December 13, 2021.

That’s how she has to live.” See “Toomey wants further Iran sanctions for kidnapping plot against U.S. citizen,” Ashley Murray, Post-Gazette, December 6, 2021.
