What this means, along with the recent targeted killing of IRGC General Mousavi in Syria, is that (1) Israel is attempting to remove IRGC leadership is a much more open and forceful way—these are some of the persons enabling Hezbollah to right now sporadically attack Israel from Lebanon (they are most of Iran’s eastern Syria IRGC leaders), and (2) most likely that Iran, not an irrational actor but a revolutionary one, will respond in a forceful way.  See “Alleged Israeli airstrike on Damascus airport killed 11 IRGC chiefs – report,” i24NEWS, 12-29-23.
