Poetry Contest

Prizes for the three winning poems: $100, $50, $25.

Submit up to three poems (or three pages, whichever is less).

Submissions are due in Chambers 308 in the Poetry Box by 5 pm on March 31.

Submissions must be typed.

A cover page with your name and the titles of the poems being submitted should be included.

The poems themselves should NOT have your name on them. (The cover page does not count as one of the three pages.)

Eligible participants: Students at ACU, undergraduate or graduate, full- or part-time

Eligible poems: Any poems not previously published

Judges: The judges are area poets from the Abilene Writers’ Guild. One has published over 5,000 poems. One has a book from Random House. One has published with multiple authors. They are volunteers and receive no renumeration.

In case of a tie, Sigma Tau Delta sponsors may be asked to be fourth and fifth judges.
