I love that you see God as reconciler (and yourself as reconciler), and also that you believe that notion is “all over” scripture. But I also encourage you to dig deep into the Word to keep looking for those specific, core passages that will provide you with deep theological foundations and supply a center of gravity. Indeed, the next few years need to be characterized by the quest to address some big questions, Who is God? What is he up to? What’s wrong with the world—and what would it look like if it were alright? How does the church fit in? How do I fit in? and so forth.
Your analyses, proposals, and prescriptions are largely intuitive and instinctual. Not bad! Hopefully, as time goes on you will also cultivate the habit of bringing those instincts into explicit dialogue with the core theological loci that you develop. I’d love to see more clearly the bases and grounds of your concerns and proposals, as you connect things together and work within the norms of the big theological categories.
