The directions regarding Pathways projects state: “In a Pathways course, you work on a project as part of the course requirements that either a) furthers your reflection on prescribed case studies, or b) enhances your contextual experiences.” For further explanation of Pathways courses or the two project types, visit the GST Pathways website.
My spring 2010 Pathways project, with a BMIS prefix, was of type a), a reflection on the case study “A Church for All People,” looking particularly at the congregation portrayed in the case from a missiological perspective. My fall 2011 Pathways project, with a BIBD prefix, was of type b), a theology of public life meant to enhance my contextual experience in the St. Ann Community. My spring 2013 Pathways project, with a BIBH prefix, was also of type b), an adaptation of materials from one of my own graduate classes for the Missional Life course that I will be teaching in the fall of 2013. For the artifacts resulting from these Pathways projects, see the links in the sidebar to the right.
