Holly Dameron (’18 M.A.), Library Acquisitions Coordinator, implemented a blog called Brown Library Acquisitions that offers students and faculty a monthly preview of library acquisitions. Dameron shares, “In an effort to spark interest among students and faculty and increase book checkouts, Brown Library Acquisitions is designed to be accessible, informative, and visually appealing. It offers a preview of three books that will be in circulation that month, standing orders, and information on how to donate books from private collections.” Dameron hopes to expand Brown Library Acquisitions to include cataloging annual orders, allowing faculty opportunity to quickly access them.
