A reception honoring Dr. John B. Weaver’s service at ACU and farewell celebration will be held in the Barry and Diane Packer Forum on Monday, Dec. 16, 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Dr. Weaver, Dean of Library Services and Educational Technology and Professor of Library and Information Science came to ACU Brown Library in August 2011. His responsibilities included The Brown Library, The Center for Restoration Studies, the AT&T Learning Studio, the Division of Educational Technology, the ACU Innovation Foundry, the Scholars Lab, the ACU Maker Lab, and the ACU Press. He worked with teams of librarians, information specialists, media specialists, programmers, technologists, designers, editors, and other scholars to realize the library’s full potential for advancing the university and the broader society.
Dr. Weaver accepted a job at Florida College and will begin the role of Academic Dean in the Spring.
