The Gaming and Media Exploration (GAME) Lab in the Scholars Lab is outfitted with retro game consoles for our Digital Entertainment Technology (DET) students to explore older games, as required and encouraged by their instructors. Erica Pye, Scholarly Communications Librarian, shares, “We were really excited to have an opportunity to partner with DET on such a fun project! I’ve enjoyed testing out the space and getting to play some of the old games I remember from my childhood”.
The use of GAME Lab space is primarily for DET students on a reservation basis to accomplish their assignments and research. It may open up to the broader ACU community in the coming months.
