Congratulations to Amanda (Arzigian ’12) Dietz, CA, for successfully completing recertification through the Academy of Certified Archivists. Every five years, Certified Archivists must re-certify by taking the Academy of Certified Archivists (ACA) exam or assembling a portfolio demonstrating continued activity and contribution to the profession. Amanda Dietz, Special Collections Archivist, applied for recertification by petition in which she documented hundreds of hours of professional work, continuing education, speaking and teaching engagements, committee and organizational service, and similar contributions to the profession over the past five years.
The Academy bases certification on an examination over the Role Delineation Statement for Professional Archivists and the seven domains of archival practice:
