Brown Library hosted a reception in the Atrium on July 30 to express appreciation and say farewell to Maker Lab’s director, Darren Wilson, who accepted a teaching job at Wylie High School.  The library presented Darren with bike riding swag, and a plaque that was crafted in the Maker Lab.  Bella’s Bakery prepared tool cookies to commemorate Darren’s “maker” time at ACU.  Many of Darren’s colleagues could not attend the reception, so they sent him words of gratitude and encouragement instead via email. Darren shared, “I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude to the ACU community for their kindness and friendship.  ACU and Brown Library will always remain a special place to me.”  Darren’s first day at Wylie High School was August 1st; he is teaching middle school Robotics and Engineering.
