In April, Dr. Melissa (Johnson ’94) Atkinson and Avery Weems (’13) of Distance & Online Services began weekly come-and-go Zoom sessions called Lunching with Librarians that offered online students the opportunity to ask research questions. Atkinson shares, “The sessions were well attended. We began on April 7 and by August 31 there had been a total of 37 online students participating. Students asked 59 research questions including how to locate articles, ebooks, and dissertations, and how to choose search terms and research topics.” Lunching with Librarians will continue supporting online students’ on-demand questions every Wednesday this fall.
