Located on the main floor of the library, near the CORE Classroom, is a library exhibit that features leading women of ACU. The exhibit highlights many people, including: Dr. Nancy Shankle Jordan, named Teacher of the Year; Dr. Marie Wilmeth, the second ACU woman to earn a Ph.D.; Dr. Cheryl Mann Bacon (’77), who began at ACU as a student and is retiring as professor and chair of journalism and mass communication; and Daisy McQuigg Sewell (pictured), who organized the W Club. She was the wife of president Jesse P. Sewell.
