GAME Lab Open for DET Students

Last Friday we had a soft opening for staff and faculty in the Library to test out our new space, the GAME Lab (Gaming and Media Exploration Lab). The GAME Lab has two 50 inch t.v. screens set up with four classic mini consoles: the NES, Super NES, Playstation, and Sega Genesis. Each console is preloaded with around 30 or so classic games.

This GAME Lab is a partnership with the DET (Digital Entertainment Technology) department. DET students are required to research concepts including game play, level design, modeling, and texture applications in early game systems.

The GAME Lab in the Scholars Lab is a central place on campus where these students can come to work on and complete these assignments, and we are happy to have this opportunity to utilize our space for student research!
