C. Committee Updates
Dave Beard – Service Committee
Town Hall Meetings were positive, maybe can build on that. We can help rechange the mood, turn toward positive.
2. Benefits committee – bereavement time, comes from sick leave, currently bereavement time is only for family – some departments hold to that, some do not. Would really like to see us pursue increasing flexibility for use of those days to attend funerals of non-family members. Benefits for ACU retirees? Currently they get a discount at the SRWC
3. Sick to service – could 3 days be expanded to a full week?

Service Committee – D’angelo Sands – what is the best way to serve? Recruiting more people to serve on this committee.
Communications Committee –
Berlin Fang – More powerful tools for storing and sharing information in Canvas. He can help us with that.
E. Outsourcing Efforts
Landscaping, mail services are staying in house, WFF is renewing their contract
Landscaping will be reduced by 10%, laid off two employees.
IT decision has not been publicly announced.
Chartwells is about to come to campus.
VII. Announcements
Commencement – please help! Some online students will be here to graduate – many have never been to Abilene before.

Thank you to Chris and retiring senators.
Survey sent out to new senators regarding meeting times – First Mondays at 9
Want to create an opportunity to meet with SLT and Dr. Schubert once a semester.
Conference Room in Bible Building is reserved for next year.
Name plates will be used in meetings.
Committees – if you served on a committee, would you consider being a chair to establish a contact person for that committee.
Dr.. Schubert and SLT should be available for Town Halls.
Be thinking of other staff members that would be interested in volunteering on committees.
