1-Sick2Service benefit – must be a service organization and supervisor must approve – must have 240 hours – can have up to 5 days year
Denial would be: not service org or not 240 sick leave hours
Example – meals on wheels, figure out how many hours a year and submit the form one-time year, HR will be announcing at benefits

DRI – assist with pumpkin unloading on October 1st and 15th
Oct 15th has a lot of people set up to work on the 15th.
First years teachers dinner – took supplies that we gathered and let the first year teachers fill their bags first and then the others – they appreciated the partnership with
Self Care Fair – Nov 14th 4:00-6:00pm (Staff appreciation game)
Axe throwing
Ruthie Swedlund demo (personal trainers will be there to answer questions) talk about what is available at the Rec
Massage therapist

Sam will send out sign up sheets to welcome, set up tables and work
BETTY HARDWICK CENTER: Jenny Goode – David Moses talked with Jenny; what they offer and what they do – they are state funded to offer first aid course
Awareness issues with Drugs and Alcohol, anxiety course – they offer an 8 hour course, can we have a shorter course? They are state funded so most are 8 hours What do we offer? ACUPD, what are trhe procedures. What if we were to plan a time after the students leave? Dec or Jan? 20-25 class size
Karen W. suggested that we have some testimonials to encourage people to signup
New Salary program: Wendy Jones & Crystal Cox
As a University we will be getting paid every 2 weeks
This doesn’t save money
We are simply trying to save money
They used to run 5 payrolls a month
They are trying to get to one payroll – bi-weekly – every other Friday starting January 10th
Will always be a straight 80 hours – supervisors were unable to quickly see if there was overtime.
A new person starting will now get paid in a timely manner
Automatic drafts will be different – you will need to look through your budget and determine when you want to change your drafts
Submitting timesheets etc. timesheets will be submitted each Monday – supervisors approve on Tuesdays – an unapproved timesheet will go unpaid
PAF deadlines
Benefits will come out of 24 payrolls, loans, ACU acct payments
Retirement and taxes will be 26
There will be 2 months that we get 2 extra paychecks with no benefits out
Oct 28th open enrolment begins info
Nov 4th will be the enrollment elections – ELAP will be here
All will be online as well – guide book and info mtgs
There is a concern that people are at the mercy of their approver and worried that they won’t get paid because their supervisor/approver hasn’t approved the time. What safe guards are in place for that?
Proxies will need to be set up
There are going to be people monitoring and will contact approvers to try to catch
