Food photographer and photojournalist, Penny De Los Santos, has traveled the world shooting all kinds of traditions and cultures related to food art. A photographer who has worked with publications such as National Geographic, she is well known for her compelling stories of food culture (Hispanic, Greece, Italian, African). A native of Austin and also a philanthropist she hosts her own workshops to promote and share her love of the craft. She is a kind heart, a warm smile, and a killer food photographer.  Be sure to check her out!

All, I forgot to mention this during our first class today, but there’s a photo rental shop in town. Steve Templeton is a great guy, and has a shop full of toys and candies for you!! He has a great collection of both Nikon and Canon gear, at affordable cost. Consider renting for your school or professional projects, or if you’d like to try some lenses or cameras before you decide to but.

Welcome back!

This course designed for the exploration of current professional photographic techniques and trends. Emphasis on studio and field assignments related to problems encountered in commercial photography. Topics include, but are not limited to: studio product, portraiture, editorial, fashion, and architectural photography using digital cameras (DSLR, preferibally 10 megapixel or more), strobe and tungsten lighting, and business practices for professional photographers. Portfolio development and verbal presentations will be emphasized.
