= Career Readiness
For Every Wildcat
What is it?
ACU Compass has been a pilot platform for NACE’s new Career Readiness Assessment, allowing Wildcats to gauge where they are along 8 different competencies including teamwork, communication, leadership, and critical thinking. The tool also invites supervisors to rate the students in these areas as well, giving them a more holistic understanding of their strengths and areas for growth before launching into the workforce. Data is then aggregated and provided to ACU, indicating where students’ biggest strengths and opportunities for growth are, driving the creation and implementation of These funds will support the full implementation of the tool for all students, as well as for programming that will address the biggest gaps for ACU students in the future.
The Benefit:
By empowering students through self assessments and observer assessments, they are able to identify strengths and areas for growth. Identifying growth needs enable ACU to target opportunities for development through tailored activities suggested through the Compass app so students can be better prepared to meet the challenges of the world as Christian leaders and servants upon graduation. Identifying strengths also provides students with tangible proof and verbiage to use as they advocate for themselves on resumes and in interviews for post-grad opportunities.
