Last week, students new and old gathered at Rhoden Farm to celebrate and welcome the new school year.

“School doesn’t officially start until the Back to School Cookout at the Farm,” said Haley Wilkerson, junior animal science major from Ravenna, Texas. “I love being back here with my A&E family!”

Hamburgers were grilled while the students tossed the football and played horseshoes. Cobbler desserts, homemade ice cream and prickly pear cactus syrup was served after dinner.

“It was a good time to meet new students and catch up with my buddies,” said Kyle Bridges, senior agribusiness major from Marble Falls, Texas. “The hamburgers were good too.”
