Monty McInturff began Veterinary School at Auburn University after graduating from ACU in 1985. While at ACU, Monty was on the Livestock Judging Team with Dr. Edwin Dubois

“Dr. Edwin Dubois was a mentor and a man who strengthened my understanding of livestock, especially the horse,” said Monty.

Veterinary School was followed by an internship at an equine surgical hospital in
Birmingham, Ala.

“I love people,” said Monty. “Sharing the healing of their horse is a wonderful experience.”

In 1991, Monty moved back to his hometown of Franklin, Tenn. and opened his own equine veterinary practice. It has since grown to house nine doctors in an equine exclusive veterinary practice called Tennessee Equine Hospital LLP located in Thompson’s Station, Tenn.

“Becoming a veterinarian is simply your ability to focus,” said Monty. “You must hoe one row at a time and the field will appear.”

Monty is happily married to his wife of 27 years, Lisa Morton McInturff (’85) and has three children Cason (’10), Colton (’13) and Claire.

“I am a Christian man who loves the Lord and thanks him for all his gifts,” said Monty.
