Each new semester brings changes. With the news of a department location change, the A&E family was sad to leave their home in Zona Luce, which is being renovated to house ACU’s first on-campus nursing school.

“I miss the old building and having it all to ourselves,” said Melinda Brown, senior environmental science major from San Antonio, Texas. “I like the new space. It’s big and bright.”

A&E is getting settled into their new home located on the first floor of the Hardin Administration Building, the central office ADM 131.

“The move went smoothly, but certainly not without hitch,” said Dr. Ed Brokaw, professor of animal science and A&E department chair. “We are getting settled and back in business.”

Dr. Brokaw said there are still issues to be worked out regarding classrooms and organizing lab space, but the students remain positive.

Now that A&E is housed with other ACU departments and not secluded, Brown said, “It is also nice to be closely connected to the rest of the ACU community.”
