Blue by Explorance
Course Evaluation Software
ACU uses Blue by Explorance to distribute and collect data for course evaluations. Faculty can check response rates during the timeframe that evaluations have been sent to students, or they can access reports for previous semesters at acu.bluera.com/acu.

Canvas
Learning Management System
ACU uses Canvas as the campus-wide learning management system, a cloud-based LMS. Canvas can be accessed in “Quicklinks” of myACU or by navigating directly to https://acu.instructure.com.

Canvas Studio
Video Creation & Sharing Tool
Canvas Studio allows instructors to create videos using screen recording and/or webcam recording. Studio includes a basic editor that allows trimming the recordings or editing out portions from the middle of a recording. These videos can be shared with students or faculty, included in course content, turned into video quizzes, or track student engagement.

Google Workspace
Productivity & Collaboration Tools
Aside from Gmail, ACU faculty, staff, and students have access to Google Workspace tools, including Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and more.

LinkedIn Learning
Online Learning Platform
ACU faculty, staff, and students have unlimited access to the complete library of online training courses and skill building provided through LinkedIn Learning. To log in to LinkedIn Learning, navigate to myACU and find “LinkedIn Learning” under “Quicklinks.”

Respondus LockDown Browser
Online Exam Cheating Prevention
Exams and quizzes within Canvas can add LockDown Browser to mitigate cheating, such as full-screen display that cannot be minimized, preventing access to other applications, copying and pasting anything to or from an assessment, etc. LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Canvas.

Nvivo
Data Analysis Software (Qualitative & Mixed Methods)
Nvivo is used for qualitative and mixed-methods research data analysis. Nvivo can be accessed on a lab computer located in the Innovation Foundry – LIB 340E (Foundry 5 Study Room) and can be reserved through the Learning Studio reservation system. Temporary licenses can also be obtained through the ACU Office of Research and Sponsored Program.

Productivity & Collaboration Tools
ACU faculty, staff, and students have access to Office 365 suite of productivity and collaboration tools, including OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and more.

Qualtrics
Cloud-based Survey Tool
ACU faculty, staff, and students have access to Qualtrics, a powerful survey software that can be used to gather information for research, feedback, engagement, event registrations, etc.

SPSS
Statistical Analysis Software
SPSS is a commonly used statistical software for quantitative research. For licensing questions, contact IT Support Center.

Turnitin
Plagiarism Detection Software
Turnitin is a plagiarism-checking engine integrated into Canvas LMS that composes the student’s work into one database and checks for originality while comparing it with other internet sources. Through this, Turnitin is able to detect any plagiarism that appears on the student’s work and shows a percentage of the amount of plagiarism by color-coding matching passages, sourcing the matched cite, and allowing for direct feedback. By providing this tool to instructors nationwide, students are held more accountable for their original work as well as, a faster grading process.

Zoom
Virtual Conferencing Software
Faculty, staff, and students have access to free Zoom licenses, but faculty and staff can request a Zoom upgrade with an approved ACU business need that allows you to host meetings longer than 40 minutes or with more than 300 participants.
