Data services is an initiative from the Brown Library aiming to help researchers in all stages of the data lifecycle. Here you can find information on creating a data management plan, software available for working with data, as well as information on saving and sharing your data.

Qualtrics

Qualtrics is a simple to use web-based survey tool to conduct survey research, evaluations, and other data collection activities.

Tutorials are provided to get you started. If you have any specific questions or are needing additional assistance, contact us at cat@acu.edu.

SPSS

SPSS is a commonly used statistical software program for qualitative research. ACU has an institutional license, contact the IT Support Center for download instructions. 

SPSS is also available on a lab computer located in the Innovation Foundry (Foundry 5 Study Room). Reserve Foundry 5 below.

Nvivo

Nvivo is a software program used for qualitative and mixed-methods research data analysis.

ESRI

ACU now has limited seats for ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArgGIS Online.

We also have access to apps like Explorer for ArcGIS, Collector (for collecting data in the field), and ESRI maps for Office. If you would like access to any of these, please email Mark McCallon.

Google Earth Pro

Google Earth Pro gives you more capabilities than Google Earth and is now available for free! Click through the link to download and register your free account. This software allows for upload of geospatial data as well as basic manipulation.

Tableau

Tableau is an interactive data visualization product that makes analytics simple to do and attractive.
