Service to the Church

I take my commitment to my church family very seriously.  I try to use the skills the Lord has blessed me with to serve the church in a variety of capacities.  The following is a glimpse into my church membership and service over the last five years.

  • Member of the Southern Hills Church of Christ (2007 – 2010)
  • Attending (member?) the Highland Church of Christ (2010 – present)
  • Active participant in the Highland Sojourners class.
  • Teacher of the “Young Professional’s” class at Southern Hills (2008-2009)
  • Helped organize and participated in hosting a vacation bible school for the Pagosa Springs Church of Christ in Pagosa Springs, Colorado through my hometown church, the Early Church of Christ (1996 – 2004)

I have served in various other smaller capacities including handing out communion trays, cooking food for the sick and grieving, helping build homes, pick up trash on the highways, etc… I love to cook and look for any excuse to be a neighbor to those around me by cooking them a meal.  I’ve often cooked for my department, students, church friends, and family.

I owe my love for God and continued commitment to the church to my earthly family and the guidance, support, and direction they have given me over the years.  I thank the Lord for them each and every day.

And finally, my new niece Haven Willow Gibbs, ACU class 2030.
