Committees

  • University General Education Council  2009-2012
    • Helped write the natural science core curriculum criteria.
    • Actively engaged in discussions that have proved to be insightful and crucial to the university’s implementation of the core curriculum.
  • Abundant Life Committee   2008-2010
    • Assisted with staffing of the university wide health and wellness program including serving as a representative of the university at the January health screenings.
    • Helped set up and facilitate Wildcat Walks and brown bag lunch events.
  • LINK Team   2011- present
    • Read through technology proposals and helped decide which proposals to fund or which proposals had potential but needed to be altered in some way.
  • Research Council   2011 – present
    • Helped determine funding for Cullen Math-Science grant awards by reading grant proposals and served as IRB for the university.
    • Helped oversee all university research funding in general and collate recommendations of sub-committees concerning funding.
  • Faculty Senate   2012 – present

Miscellaneous Contributions

  • Served as a judge for the 2012 Undergraduate Research Festival
  • Served on a faculty panel at the 2012 ACU ConnectEd Open House
  • Served on a faculty panel at the 2011 ACU ConnectEd conference
  • Worked on a sub-committee to write the criteria for the Natural Sciences core course menu
  • Participated in a university pilot for the “Heads Up” app launch
  • Participated in a university pilot of the “xDrive” file system
  • Coordinated study abroad courses via correspondence for students studying abroad in Montevideo in Spring 2008 and again in Spring 2009
  • Attended a variety of Adams Center presentations and gave feedback regarding implementation of the Learning Studio, mobile learning initiative, and educational technologies.
