Numeric Integration

Description:  This lecture deals with three techniques for approximate integrals:  Trapezoid Rule, Midpoint Rule, and Simpson’s Rule.  Approximation techniques like these are extremely important because some integrals cannot be evaluated by hand, so an approximation is our best option.  We also explore error bounds and determine the number of subintervals needed to determine an integral to within a specified accuracy.  You will want to keep your calculator close by when working on this material.
