Staci is a young professional in her mid-20s. Her job as a public relations officer for an international company has exposed her to a variety of cultures and sophistication. She has chosen to simplify her life and settle down in a similar position at a firm in Dallas, TX that requires less travel. Since moving there, she has come to miss the quaint European cafes that offer healthy but unordinary foods. She spys [restaurant] downtown a few blocks from her office on her way to work and googles it before her lunch break. Staci discovers on [restaurant]’s site a thorough menu complete with nutrition information, a bonus since her new job leaves her in the office with less opportunity to be active like her previous position. Twice a week Staci has back-to-back meetings that prevent her from leaving the office so seeing that this restaurant is able to deliver healthy, fresh meals is also helpful. After calling and placing her first order, the restaurant saves her information allowing for quick ordering every time hereafter.

Joyce relocated to the Metroplex from the Greater New Orleans Area after Hurricane Katrina. She loves the opportunities that D/FW provides for her and her family, but she misses the culture and food of New Orleans. She’s looked and looked for a good seafood restaurant, but has been unsuccessful until now. She heard about a place from another relocated friend who does seafood the way it’s done in the Big Easy. Joyce looks up the website and is thrilled to see the menu presented in a familiar way and then looks up the restaurant photos and is very happy with the set up of the place. She’s excited because she sees that this place will probably be around for a while because it caters both to the relocated population and the native population of D/FW by providing a new yet authentic experience. Joyce cannot wait to get off of work and take her family to this new place.

He found [restaurant’s] website, from and ad he saw earlier that week. He found a tab saying to click more to find out about their catering options. There was a catering menu w/prices per person served, along with an online order form or for faster service a phone number. He decided to call the number and it contacted him directly to a real person at the restaurant. The rest was history.

Reginald “Reggie” Stanton is a British citizen 33 years old with a trophy girlfriend, 22, and a daughter of 18 months. They live in a flat together near Paddington Station where he rides the Underground to work every morning. He has been working for Llyod’s Insurance  in London for the last 10 years, and over that time has made lots of lawyer buddies in the United States. In order to commemorate Reggie’s 10 years of work he was given a raise, which he is using to take his girlfriend and daughter to experience the US on a two week vacation in New York. While staying in a hotel he looks online to find several options for places to get breakfast for his family. Since his girlfriend and baby are still sleeping, he wants to find a store that offers either delivery or take-away options. He stumbles across the Cereal Bar’s website and needs to know if they can deliver items to his hotel desk or if he will need to pick up breakfast himself; if delivery is not offered he needs to find the nearest store location with an address he can give to any cab driver, or walk himself if the store is close enough. In addition to the location, Reggie wants to make sure for his girlfriend that the store offers lactose free meals or at least soy milk products for someone who is lactose intolerant, as well as reduced prices for children under 2-3years of age.

Braden is a average college student who always has had a passion for good food, but has been dissatisfied with the quality of the seafood in Waco.  Currently he goes to Baylor and has done his best to find all the local dives and eateries.  Something is missing however, one night he happens upon a food cart/truck that sales fish tacos, with an emphasis on fresh seafood.  So he goes home and searches it on the web, to find a well designed site that is easy to navigate and has a GPS feed to update the customer on the truck’s location.  The next day Braden rode his bike to the truck’s location, and bought two tacos and a large coke.  Braden was pleased.
