Personally, this internship to Chiang Mai attracted me for several reasons. For one, I have recently made the decision to no longer pursue the field of Youth Ministry. As I look to pursue other career options, this internship will provide an excellent witness for my upcoming career decisions. Secondly, my interest in this internship has come from the desire to learn what it means to “regard no one from a worldly point of view.” I believe that if I am to really retain this notion, then I must place myself within the most uncomfortable position, and for me, that is within an Asian culture. I am a little nervous about this trip, but most of all excited to see how God is going work!
